The Linear Sequence.

A Narrative of Rhythmic Flow.
Location: Mexico State.
Architecture: Manuel Cervantes Estudio.
This lighting design project transforms the architectural journey into a choreographed experience of light and perspective. The scheme utilizes a sequential illumination strategy to emphasize the house’s elongated axis, guiding the inhabitant through a series of expanding and contracting spaces.
A cadence of subtle luminaires follows the overhead timber grid, casting a warm, directional glow that reveals the tactile depth of the stone and wood. These rhythmic pulses of light act as a visual compass, drawing the eye toward the horizon of the corridors and the lush greenery beyond. Externally, the lighting design frames the building’s silhouette against the night, turning the structure into a delicate lantern that pulsates in harmony with the natural breath of the forest.
